Clio 2RS | Team, 172 CUP, Trophy

Clio 2 RS, Renault Sport’s little hot hatch

Introduced in 2000, the Clio 2 Renault Sport put a lively, lightweight front-wheel-drive car back at the heart of the range, with its 2.0 16-valve engine rated at 172 hp and then 182 hp after the facelift. Around this base came the versions collectors now cherish: the lightened 172 Cup, the edition named after Jean Ragnotti, the Team versions and above all the Trophy, built in small numbers with specific dampers and a very driver-focused set-up. Each stands apart through details only insiders can spot.

The gear knob is a good example: its shift pattern insert wears under the palm until it becomes unreadable, even though it differs from one version to another.

Our decals for the Clio 2 RS

Here is what we offer for the Clio 2 RS and its editions:

• Gear knob inserts: replacement shift pattern and numbers, in 172, Ragnotti or Team versions.
• « TROPHY » sill lettering: the pair, in silver grey, for the Clio 2 RS Trophy.
• « Renault a choisi Elf » sticker: for the rear window, shared by several of the brand’s sporty Clios.
• Jean Ragnotti signature: in black or white.
• First-generation Renault Sport logo keyring: a STICK-IN creation.

Choosing the right gear knob insert

Before ordering, check your car’s original gear knob or photos of a car from the same edition: the shift pattern design and the style of the numbers are not the same on the 172, Ragnotti and Team. Remove the old insert carefully, clean the recess with alcohol to get rid of grease left by hands, then centre the new one, checking where reverse sits. For the Trophy lettering, line it up parallel to the sill line before smoothing it down.

All our decals are made to order in France within 3 to 7 days, by Renault Sport enthusiasts.
