Alpine GTA V6

The Alpine GTA, French-style grand touring

Unveiled in 1984 and built in Dieppe, the GTA succeeded the A310 using the brand's favourite recipe: a polyester body on a steel backbone chassis, with the engine mounted behind the rear axle. Under the rear lid sits the PRV V6, with 160 hp in the V6 GT and then 200 hp in the V6 Turbo from 1985. Its sleek profile gave it excellent aerodynamics for the time. Late in its career, the wide-arched Le Mans edition closed the GTA story before the A610 arrived in 1991.

Among enthusiasts, a GTA is judged as much by its engine bay as by its lines: hoses, wiring looms, workshop labels, every detail counts during an appraisal or a concours.

Our stickers for the Alpine GTA V6

The GTA selection is still short and gathers the Renault network labels found on models of the period:

• « Exigez la pièce d'origine », the Renault network label recommending genuine parts.
• « Renault préconise ELF », the lubricant recommendation label in the engine bay.
• Your request: is a marking from your GTA missing from our catalogue? Let us know, every request helps the workshop choose its next reproductions.

Preparing the engine bay of a GTA

On the GTA, the rear engine bay gets very hot and labels age quickly. Before fitting, photograph what remains and compare with original cars of the same version, as positions may differ between the V6 GT and the V6 Turbo. Let the engine cool completely, clean off oil deposits, degrease with isopropyl alcohol, then fit on a perfectly dry surface, smoothing from the centre outwards.

Every label is made to order in France within 3 to 7 days: faithful reproductions created by Alpine enthusiasts.
