Elise S2 (2001 - 2010)

The Elise S2, lightness the Hethel way

Introduced for the 2001 model year, the Series 2 Elise kept the bonded, extruded aluminium chassis that made the S1 famous, but wore redesigned, sharper composite bodywork. It started out with the Rover K-series four-cylinder, in standard form or as the 111S with VVC variable valve timing. From 2004, Lotus switched to Toyota engines: the 111R received the 2ZZ-GE, and the supercharged Elise SC topped the range in 2008.

Each version can be identified at a glance by the stickers surrounding the side repeaters on the front wings. Exposed to stone chips and sunlight, these small markings are often the first to fade or crack.

Our stickers for the Lotus Elise S2

Here are the families of markings available for your S2, most of them in two shades:

• 111S front wing repeater stickers, in silver or charcoal grey.
• 111R front wing stickers, in the same two shades.
• « S » logos in silver or charcoal, shared with the Exige and Europa.
• Supercharged « SC » badge in charcoal or silver.
• Queen's Award for Enterprise stickers in black or gold, plus the Heritage laurel wreath sticker.
• Colin Chapman signatures, a tribute to Lotus's founder, fitting the Elise, Exige and Evora.

Finding the right version and shade

Elise markings come in several shades: note the one still on your car, or compare with photos of original cars in the same trim, before choosing between silver and charcoal. Remove old stickers by warming them gently with a hairdryer to protect the paint on the composite panels, clear adhesive residue without harsh solvents, degrease, then fit while checking alignment with the repeater and the curve of the wing.

Every sticker is made to order in France within 3 to 7 days: faithful reproductions created by enthusiasts of lightweight British sports cars.
