304

The Peugeot 304, between the 204 and the 504

Launched at the end of the 1960s and built throughout the 1970s, the 304 is derived from the 204, sharing its front-wheel-drive layout and light-alloy transverse engine, with a longer nose and a larger displacement. It came as a saloon and an estate, but also as a coupé and a convertible, the latter two available in the livelier S version. Tough and comfortable, it served countless families before becoming an endearing youngtimer, now especially sought after in its open-top forms.

During a restoration the engine bay is often repainted or deep-cleaned: the small original labels then vanish, even though they are part of an authentic concours presentation.

Our decals for the Peugeot 304

For the 304, we offer the technical labels shared by Peugeot models of the period:

• Shell / Esso oil filler cap label: shared with the 104, 205, 504 and other models of the brand.
• « Spark plug spanner » warning: the caution label found in the engine bay.
• Alternator / battery label: to complete the under-bonnet presentation.

Our range for this model keeps growing with requests: feel free to tell us about a missing marking.

Finding where the engine labels go

Before removing anything, photograph the engine bay from several angles: glue marks or less faded patches often reveal where the old labels were. Compare with photos of unrestored 304s from the same period, as suppliers and positions may have changed during production. Apply the stickers to cold, clean, degreased metal, never on a warm engine, and let the adhesive set before closing the bonnet.

Every label is made to order in France within 3 to 7 days, by classic Peugeot enthusiasts.
