Renault 14

The Renault 14: the "Pear" unlike any other car

Launched in 1976, the Renault 14 entered the hatchback market with a rounded shape that set it apart from its rivals. That shape inspired a famous French advertising campaign comparing it to a pear, and the nickname stuck for good. Under the bonnet it used an engine developed jointly with Peugeot and shared with the 104, installed tilted backwards to lower the bonnet line and free up cabin space.

Offered in L, TL, GTL and the livelier TS trims, it was built until 1983, when the Renault 11 took over. Well-preserved examples are rare today, which makes every restoration precious: even the smallest period label in the engine bay adds to the car's authenticity.

Our stickers for the Renault 14

Our R14 range focuses on mechanical details and a nod to its nickname:

• ELF Prestigrade Sport Supra oil cap sticker, found on many Renaults of the period, from the 4 to the 16;
• Second ELF Prestigrade item, also listed for the Alpine A110: compare both product pages to pick the right one;
• Renault 14 "Poire" keyring in soft PVC, a STICK-IN design inspired by the famous advert.

Finding the right cap and the right label

Oil filler caps changed over the years and between engines, and the ELF label must suit yours. Compare your part with the photos on each product page before ordering. To fit, remove the cap, scrape off what remains of the old label with a plastic spatula, clean with isopropyl alcohol, then centre the sticker carefully before pressing it down from the middle outwards. If you are looking for an R14 body marking that is missing here, please let us know.

Our faithful reproductions are made to order in France within 3 to 7 days by enthusiasts who also love the lesser-known Renaults.
