Renault 21 | Turbo

The Renault 21 Turbo, the family saloon that hunted sports cars

Launched in 1987, the 21 Turbo slipped a 175 hp turbocharged two-litre engine into a sensible-looking saloon. A specific body kit, dedicated wheels and full instrumentation made it an instant favourite with fans of fast, understated saloons. The four-wheel-drive Quadra joined the range in 1988, and the 1989 phase 2 facelift refreshed both the front end and the tail.

Open the bonnet and a well-kept 21 Turbo also gives itself away through its labels: lubricant recommendation, coolant instructions, battery warning. Yellowed, torn or missing, these small rectangles quickly tell an enthusiast that a restoration is not quite finished.

Our stickers for the Renault 21 Turbo

Our range combines technical labels shared by Renaults of the period with a few items specific to the 21 Turbo:

• Engine bay labels: « Renault préconise ELF », coolant, « Important batterie » and « Exigez la pièce d'origine ».
• Oil filler cap sticker ELF Lubrifiants, to complete the top of the engine.
• Gear knob restoration sticker made for the R21 Turbo, ideal when the original shift pattern has worn away.
• Jean Ragnotti signatures in black or white, a nod to Renault's iconic driver.
• Key rings, STICK-IN creations: « 2L. Turbo » badge and first-generation Renault Sport logo.

Preparing your R21 Turbo before fitting

Before ordering, locate the exact position of each label: photograph the engine bay, the underside of the bonnet and the front panel before cleaning anything, as old adhesive marks are often the best guide. Then degrease the surface with isopropyl alcohol, let it dry and fit the stickers in mild temperatures, never on panels still hot from a drive. On the gear knob, centre the sticker carefully and smooth it from the middle outwards to push out any air.

Every sticker is made to order in France within 3 to 7 days by enthusiasts who faithfully reproduce period markings.
