Exige S2 (2004 - 2011)

The Exige S2, the Lotus built for the track

Derived from the Elise S2, the second-generation Exige uses the bonded extruded aluminium chassis that made Hethel's name, topped with a fixed roof with air scoop and a rear wing. It adopted Toyota's 1.8 2ZZ-GE four-cylinder, later joined by the supercharged Exige S and several special editions aimed at track-day fans. True to the philosophy of Lotus founder Colin Chapman, it favours lightness over raw power.

On such a pared-back car every marking counts: the discreet "S" identifying the version, the rear panel masks or the commemorative badges found on some Elise and Exige models. Exposed to sunlight and to debris on track days, these graphics are often the first to crack, fade or disappear during bodywork repairs.

Our decals for the Lotus Exige S2

This category covers:

• "S" lettering for wings and indicator repeaters, in silver grey or anthracite grey (shared with the Elise and Europa).
• Exige S2 rear masks in silver grey or anthracite grey.
• Queen's Award for Enterprise badges in black or gold, also seen on Elise 111S, R and Cup.
• Heritage graphic with laurel wreath, in the spirit of the Elise S2.
• "Colin Chapman" signature as a pair, a tribute to the founder.

Preparing composite bodywork

The Exige body is made of composite material, often re-lacquered during restoration: let any fresh clear coat cure fully before fitting, degrease with isopropyl alcohol and avoid harsh solvents. For the rear mask, use the outline of the old graphic or photos of your car to keep it aligned with the lights and grille.
