Megane 2RS | F1 Team, R26

Mégane 2 RS: the editions that celebrated Formula 1

Launched in 2004 with its turbocharged 2.0 16V, the Mégane 2 Renault Sport quickly became the showcase for Renault’s Formula 1 success. The F1 Team edition marked the 2005 world title, then the R26 celebrated 2006, with the Cup chassis and limited-slip differential that earned it its reputation on road and track. What sets these versions apart at a glance are their graphics: the « Renault F1 Team » lettering on the doors, the Renault Sport touches inside the cabin and the racing-inspired identity.

On a car that has been used as intended, these decals are often the first to crack, fade in the sun or vanish during bodywork repairs. Getting them back in their period design makes all the difference to a knowing eye.

Preparing the job on your Mégane RS

Before peeling off an old door graphic, take a photo and note its position relative to the body lines: matching the exact placement is what makes it look right. Warm the old decal gently with a hairdryer to lift it without harming the clear coat, remove any glue residue, then degrease thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol. Apply indoors on a body panel at room temperature, pushing air bubbles out from the centre to the edges. On the dashboard, clean off any silicone-based trim restorer first, as it prevents proper adhesion.

Every decal is made to order in France within 3 to 7 days, by enthusiasts committed to faithful reproductions.
