Exige S1 (2000 - 2002)

The Exige S1, the Elise built for the track

Unveiled in 2000 and built at Hethel until 2002, the Exige S1 is based on the Elise S1: bonded aluminium chassis, composite body and a mid-mounted 1.8-litre Rover K-series engine, here in a sharper state of tune. Its fixed roof topped with an air scoop, its rear wing and wider tracks give it an instantly recognisable shape, very close to the race cars of the period. Built in small numbers, it is now highly sought after by fans of lightweight sports cars.

On a car like this, owners love to look after the small distinctive touches that recall the marque’s history: a tribute to the founder, industry awards, a historic emblem.

Our decals for the Lotus Exige S1

The items offered for the Exige S1 are shared with other Lotus models of the same family:

• « Colin Chapman » signature: the pair, a tribute to the founder of Lotus, also suitable for the Elise and Evora.
• Queen’s Award for Enterprise stickers: in black or gold, as seen on Elise and Exige models.
• « Heritage » laurel wreath: the emblem recalling the marque’s racing past.

Our Exige S1 range keeps growing in response to customer requests.

Application tips for a composite body

The Exige’s panels are made of composite and have often been repainted or repaired over the years: make sure the finish is sound and fully cured before applying a decal. Clean with diluted isopropyl alcohol, without polish or wax, then dry-fit the sticker with a piece of masking tape to check its position and symmetry on both sides. For printed designs such as the Queen’s Award, choose black or gold according to the body colour to keep a clear contrast.

Every decal is made to order in France within 3 to 7 days, by enthusiasts of lightweight sports cars.
