205 Roland Garros

The 205 Roland Garros: elegance in the colours of the tournament

As a partner of the Paris tennis tournament, Peugeot launched a 205 Roland Garros special edition in the late 1980s, offered both as a hatchback and as a cabriolet. Its green paint, light-coloured upholstery and trim and dedicated markings give it a chic look that stands apart from the GTIs of the same era. The cabriolets, whose body owes much to Pininfarina, also carry the Italian coachbuilder's signature on the rear quarters.

On this edition, the small markings make all the difference: the two-line lettering on the front wings, the Pininfarina signature, the door pillars with their distinctive grain. Missing or tired, they instantly mark a car as incomplete in the eyes of an enthusiast.

Our decals for the 205 Roland Garros

The selection brings together edition-specific markings and the labels shared by 205s of the period:

• Edition lettering: two-line "Roland Garros Paris" for the left and right front wings.
• White Pininfarina badges for the left and right rear quarters.
• Black textured door pillar trims, as a set of four or for three-door exterior pillars.
• Engine bay: Shell or Esso oil cap, alternator and battery, "-15" coolant, cooling circuit, spark plug spanner warning.
• Period markings: rubbing strip badge, PTS grille stripes, "Un constructeur sort ses griffes" and "Champion du monde des rallyes 1985 et 1986" rear screen slogans, Speedline wheel stickers.

Respect the original colour and position

The Roland Garros lettering often goes on repainted wings: before fitting, let the clear coat cure fully, then degrease. Measure the distance between the wheel arch and the first letter on the opposite wing if it still has its marking, or use period photos, to keep perfect symmetry. On a cabriolet, also check the condition of the rear quarter before applying the Pininfarina signature.

Each decal is made to order in France within 3 to 7 days: faithful reproductions by 205 enthusiasts.
