Round engine bay label “Shell – Esso” lubricants – Peugeot 104, 205, 304, 305, 309, 405, 504

The round “Shell – Lubrifiants recommandés – Esso” (recommended lubricants) label of 1970s and 80s Peugeots.

Peugeot recommended Shell and Esso oils at the time, and said so under the bonnet with this round label, placed on the oil filler cap or close to it. Our reproduction is printed in high definition and laminated to withstand heat and splashes.

Fitting tips

Clean and degrease the surface thoroughly (isopropyl alcohol or a mild degreaser), then let it dry: it must be clean, smooth and dry, ideally between 15 and 25 °C.

Under the bonnet, work on a cold engine and degrease well: oil vapour prevents adhesion.

Peel the decal from its backing sheet by one edge, position it, then apply it from the centre outwards to push out any air.
