205 GTI 1.9 (+ Griffe)

The 205 GTI 1.9, the peak of an icon

In autumn 1986, Peugeot fitted the 1.9-litre XU9 engine to the 205 GTI: 130 hp, rear disc brakes and 15-inch wheels made the « 1.9 » the most sought-after version of the line. With the arrival of the catalytic converter, some later cars dropped to 122 hp. In 1990, the Griffe edition closed the chapter with its Fluorite green paint and leather interior.

To a connoisseur, the details never lie: the « 1.9 » on the C-pillars, the GTI lettering on the ribbed rear panel, the airflow meter calibration labels, or the « Champion du monde des rallyes 1985 et 1986 » sticker celebrating the titles won by the 205 Turbo 16.

Finding the right reference for your 1.9

First check the engine type and model year: airflow meter labels differ depending on the setting, and the C-pillar badges are not the same as on the 1.6. If possible, remove plastic parts to work flat, lift the old lettering with gentle heat, then degrease thoroughly. For cut-out lettering, transfer tape keeps the exact spacing between each character and perfect alignment on the rear panel.

All our stickers are made to order in France within 3 to 7 days: faithful reproductions created by 205 enthusiasts.
